Association of Radiation oncologists’ of India (AROI) is the largest academic organization of the Oncologists in India. The West Bengal Chapter of the Association of Radiation Oncologists’ of India (AROIWB) came to being along with the parent national body. With about 450+ members, it is one of the largest state Chapters of the Association. The state chapter has been organizing Annual state Conferences, continuing Medical Education Programs for both the Consultants and the Post Graduates for the past 20 years.
The Objective of the AROI, WB chapter is to encourage and advance the knowledge, study and practice of the science of radiation oncology in all way, in line with the declared objectives of the National body. This includes encouraging and providing stimulus for the research activities and dissemination of knowledge through conferences, workshop, CMEs, clinical meetings, and other activities. It also seeks to collaborate with other professional bodies to facilitate multi-disciplinary collaboration to promote cross discipline understanding, cancer awareness and improvement of patient care.
