Association of Radiation Oncologists of India

West Bengal Chapter

Contribute for AROI WB ABHAYA Corpus fund

Dear Member,

As the largest umbrella organization of Oncologists in West Bengal with more than 500 Members, the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India West Bengal Chapter has condemned the heinous crime at R. G. Kar Medical College, Kolkata and we stand in solidarity to fight for justice at the Supreme Court of India for the victim ABHAYA.

As AROI WB Chapter is not a direct party to the legal fight, we have decided to help other doctors' associations (like Doctors for Democracy under Joint Platform of Doctors, Protect the Warriors, West Bengal Doctors' Forum and West Bengal Junior Doctors ' Front).

As unanimously decided by the Executive Committee of the Association we have already dusbursed a one time amount of Rs. 50000 to each of the first three organizations (we shall do so to the WBJDF once their account is operational).

Although we have not asked any Member to contribute as of now, we shall request Members to contribute for an AROI WB ABHAYA Corpus fund which we have created by voluntary contribution. This fund will act as a buffer fund and provide for the second installment of the contribution to these organizations when asked for. This is because we consider the legal battle to be a long and arduous one.

Contributions of any amount are welcome till 30th of September, 2024. Payment is to be made by online transfer through NEFT / RTGS / IMPS / Online through our website www.aroiwb.org.

You are requested to mail a copy of the payment transaction screenshot to aroiwb@gmail.com
